I am generally happy to advise research projects. For most projects, basic coding experience (preferably Python) and basic understanding of machine learning is required. Experience working with deep learning framework such as PyTorch and TensorFlow will be helpful. You may take PAT 481/581 or EECS 399/499/599 for research credits.

I am not involved in the admission processes for CSE programs.
The department of Performing Arts Technology currently offers two graduate programs:
Our PAT department admits PhD students on the department level, and PhD students are funded by the department. You’ll be provided a five-year funding package and have much flexibility to decide what to work on and who to work with. However, that also means individual faculty plays a smaller role in the admission process.
The application deadlines are usually in December. You can find more information about the admission process here and the requirements here.
